With a great deal of patience, a traditional Buddhist frieze is crafted from six planks stacked on top of one another. It features a rounded element as a reference to the lotus flower (a symbol of compassion) and a beam with alternating cubes (a symbol of wisdom). A total of 114 metres of this frieze is being produced for the ground floor ceiling.
